Hi, I’m Marsha McDonald, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and Georgia. I earned my undergraduate degree from York College and my graduate degrees in Social Work and Childhood Special Education from Adelphi University.
From an early age, I knew I wanted to serve others after witnessing how quickly life can change due to circumstances beyond our control. Family dynamics, unexpected challenges, and life transitions can impact children, adolescents, and adults in profound ways. These experiences inspired me to pursue a career in therapy and social work, helping people navigate life’s challenges with empathy, compassion, and support.
I work predominantly with women, children, and adolescents, providing a safe space to feel heard, valued, and empowered. For adolescents, my work often focuses on the unique challenges they face, including peer relationships, emotional regulation, self-esteem, academic struggles, and other pressures that come with growing up. I aim to help teens build coping skills, navigate challenges, and develop confidence and resilience in a supportive environment.
For women and adults, I provide guidance and support around relationships, personal growth, trauma, and mental health, helping clients explore their goals, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, balanced lives.
I am proud to be part of a profession that is becoming less stigmatized and more accessible. Women, children, and adolescents now have safe spaces to address trauma, relationships, mental health, and personal growth. I am honored to support my clients on their journey toward healing, empowerment, and lasting positive change.
